Two of the most popular Ayurvedic plants combined: Ashwagandha & Shatavari
Ashwagandha: a species from the nightshade family, it has oval leaves and reddish, balloon-like flowers. In Ayurvedic teachings, it holds a similarly important place as ginseng in China. Ashwagandha is also known as winter cherry or sleep berry. The Ashwagandha tablets are made from the dried roots of Withania somnifera.
Shatavari: This versatile root, with its sweet and bitter taste, cools Pitta and reduces Vata. Shatavari is traditionally said to increase Kapha. Indian asparagus is also an ingredient in various Rasayanas of Maharishi Ayurveda.
