Application:

To benefit from the harmonizing effects of the Shakti mat, regular, ideally daily, use is recommended. Place the Shakti mat on a bed or other soft surface. A pillow or a rolled-up towel under the mat at the head serves as neck support.

Then lie completely relaxed on the mat with your bare back. Your body weight should be evenly distributed across the many nail tips. Breathe deeply in and out. This can feel unusual and difficult at first, as the hard plastic spikes press against the skin. If this is too uncomfortable at the beginning of daily use, place a thin cloth between the mat and your body (this will, however, reduce the effect). Initially, a treatment duration of 10 to 15 minutes may be sufficient; later, it should be gradually extended to 20 to 40 minutes.

Even if you lie on it longer or even fall asleep, this will have no harmful effects.

After a few minutes on the Shakti mat, you will feel a pleasant, warming sensation that spreads throughout your body and relaxes it. Since the nerves run from the spine and back to the entire body, acupressure back treatment has a positive effect on the entire mind-body system. However, the Shakti mat can also be used to treat specific areas of the body. Treating the chest and abdominal area has a relaxing effect on the respiratory muscles and diaphragm.

To use the Shaktimat, lie face down on it with your arms at your sides or bent at the elbows under your head. Tension in your lower back and buttocks can be specifically targeted by placing the mat horizontally underneath this area. To help these sensitive areas get used to the plastic spikes, you can initially wear thin cotton underwear. To treat your thighs and sides of your hips, alternate between lying on your left and right side. This position can even provide relief for a sore knee. For a special foot reflexology massage, stand barefoot on the Shaktimat. The reflex points in your feet stimulate your entire body and release tension. The increased blood flow naturally warms your feet and promotes a feeling of well-being.

Even your face, especially your jaw and cheeks, benefits from the relaxing and soothing massage effect of the Shaktimat. For this, place a thin cloth between your face and the mat.

Contraindications:
